Biography

Farmer studied at Chelsea School of Art and subsequently exhibited widely in London including New Vision Centre, St Martin?s Gallery and the London Group. His first solo exhibition was at Artists' International Association Gallery in 1956. Other one-man shows included Heal's Art Gallery, 1964 and Angela Flowers Gallery, 1982. The artist Adrian Heath was a strong advocate of Farmer's work. The Arts Council of Great Britain and the Contemporary Arts Society hold examples of his work.
