Biography

After service in the Army in WWII Peter Haigh - who always insisted he was self-taught - attended Heatherley's School of Art and Goldsmith's School of Art (1946-49.) Between 1949-55 Haigh exhibited many of the leading London galleries including Wildenstein's; Beaux Arts; Zwemmer; Leicester Galleries; Roland Browse & Delbanco Redfern Galleries, but then he withdrew from showing, keen to develop in his own way. In 1988 The Pride Gallery held a retrospective and another was put on in valencia, Spain in 1991.
